Statement from President, Erica L. King

June 3, 2020

To our CNIMFG Family:

This year seems to continue to meet us with one challenge after another. During this current challenging time, my message to you as President, is that CNIMFG is with you. We will continue to be with you.

WE are saddened, hurt, frustrated, and angry TOGETHER. WE grieve TOGETHER, for our people, our city, and our country.

Since our inception, CNIMFG has been committed to living, working, and serving our community. Now, more than ever, we are committed to INVESTING and REBUILDING our communities.  We are committed to doing our part to ensure that our communities can be funded, owned, and operated by our community members.  We view our mission as going beyond simply funding businesses, because the businesses we fund go on to form a crucial backbone for disinvested and underinvested communities. Economic development provides our communities with access to better schools, healthier food, and higher standards of living. Our communities deserve all of these opportunities and we will continue to work until we realize equity in these and all other areas.

We recognize that you are dealing with more than your business needs right now. We are here to offer support in whatever way we can as your community partner. We will be providing additional information on our efforts and specific offerings. We are here together to get through this challenge.

If you are under any financial distress, please contact us directly. If you know of anyone who could use our assistance in building or sustaining their business, please connect with us, so that we can continue to support our community.

Stand strong,

Erica L. King, President
