The Chicago Neighborhood Initiatives Micro Finance Group (CNIMFG) is committed to bringing affordable microfinance solutions to low-income individuals or small business owners who do not have access to traditional sources of financing.
Many of CNIMFG’s clients’ modest loan request, limited credit history or entrance into a new career field often minimizes their eligibility for conventional financing and prohibits many entrepreneurs from obtaining the resources they need to grow their businesses. CNIMFG provides the financing and training necessary to help small business owners increase their incomes, create new jobs and strengthen their communities.
In a challenging economy, the need for alternative financing options for Chicago area’s small business community has been well documented. CNIMFG is actively seeking new customers who would benefit from a microloan, oftentimes working with businesses who have been turned away by conventional financing sources.
CNIMFG loans support businesses with working capital, assist in purchasing new inventory and equipment and provide start-up capital for new businesses. Each loan must meet one of the following mission based requirements:
- Creates new and/or higher paying employment opportunities
- Saves existing jobs
- Increases spending within our target communities on the South and West Sides of Chicago and its suburbs
- Entrepreneurs must be located within the metropolitan Chicagoland area
Creating Opportunity for Entrepreneurs.
